All of our products are made to last for years to your satisfaction when used properly. Of course, their lifespan is not infinite, but with regular care you can extend it considerably. Here is a basic overview of the care steps for these products. We are convinced that following them will lead to the functionality of the products you have purchased and thus to the functionality and success of your salon.
1. Regular cleaning: Avoid chemicals when cleaning PU leather - these could damage or completely destroy it. Products designed for genuine leather are also not suitable for PU leather, so be sure not to use them. A damp cloth in a weak solution of soap and lukewarm water will suffice for maintenance. The cloth must not bleed colour, white is ideal. Then dry with a clean dry cloth. The use of disinfectants may have negative consequences on the durability and quality of the upholstery, for which the upholstery manufacturer is not responsible. As an alternative, we recommend the use of disposable sheets. The best way to protect the upholstery and the durability of the treatment bed is to use quality covers.
2. Protection from direct sunlight: place the product in a place where it is not exposed to direct sunlight to prevent fading and cracking.
3. Avoid overloading: do not load products with excessive weight to avoid deformation.
4. Check connections and mechanisms regularly: check all screws and mechanisms for good condition and tighten them if loose.
5. Periodically lubricate connections and mechanisms: Like all machinery, Cosmetic beds and Pedicure chairs need to be regularly lubricated on their metal moving parts/joints or bearings.
The product you have purchased is lubricated from the factory in the most efficient way, which will allow it to function properly and smoothly for many months (depending on the workload). But it will certainly not ensure its functionality for years.
This maintenance is not a difficult task, but it is necessary to preserve the original characteristics and functionality of the product and directly affects its service life.
Moreover, maintenance activities also lead to the identification and assessment of the actual technical condition of the product and thus can prevent possible future complications and disruptions to their operation.
Conversely, inadequate maintenance of joints can lead to damage to the product to such an extent that it is beyond repair. Therefore, periodic lubrication of joints must not be underestimated.
Depending on the lubricant used, lubrication of the product can be carried out in two basic ways.
The simpler (but less effective) way is to use an oil spray (e.g. WD40). Simply spray the required amount of oil spray onto the joints and move the parts to be joined. The whole process is faster and less technically and time consuming. In this case, however, the lubricating effect is shorter and the process has to be repeated more often.
The second method is using industrial vaseline. Here we recommend applying the lubricant to the friction surfaces by loosening/disconnecting the moving parts and joints, thus allowing an even more thorough lubrication. While this is technically and time consuming, it is much more effective and lasts much longer (compared to oil spray about 3-4 times).
Mimera, as a dealer, based on the experience of our supplier and manufacturer, recommends thoroughly relubricating metal joints with industrial vaseline at least once a year. This will provide your product with sufficient care and consequently its trouble-free functionality.
(Provided, of course, that the product is subjected to adequate load and is used in a climatically suitable environment. High humidity or dusty environments shorten the interval considerably.
